Our residential remodeling/building services begin with an initial consultation where we define the scope of work for your future project. We then will provide you with a preliminary cost estimate based on our experience with similar projects of like scope and size. The next step is to review your existing plans or generate plans with an architect. We find by giving practical guidance during the design process helps ensure a cost effective approach to your project.

The MDG uses two types of billing formats, bid proposals or “cost plus billing”. Both formats begin with a site visit with our team of tradesmen specific to your project. Each of them will provide us with a quote for their defined task. Once all of the quotes are reviewed, they are compiled into either a detailed bid proposal or a “cost plus” budget. A bid proposal defines the scope of work and a cost for the project. A “cost plus” budget involves invoicing the client for the actual cost of materials and labor, plus a predetermined percentage for our profit and overhead. Upon acceptance of the bid, together we will decide on a tentative start ,payment schedule and an approximate completion date.
